Bot Updates
23-10-2026
Gear plans
- Every bot now has a gear plan: a weapon, a single piece or a whole armor set, and saves for it until it is bought.
- Some bots save a long time for something big, others buy whatever they can afford right away.
- Bots now go for full armor sets and wear them when the set bonus is worth it.
- Bots now buy helmets too. Before, they never planned one.
- Bots no longer try to keep up with each other: some level faster, some slower.
Making money
- Every bot has its own way of making money. Most hunt, some trade on the side, some are full-time merchants. Dwarf spoilers supply materials and dwarf crafters craft.
- Bots keep money aside for their supplies and a teleport, and only trade with what is left.
- Bots that keep losing money on trades step back from trading for a while.
- If a bot buy shop pays more than a sell shop asks, bots buy the item and sell it on to that buy shop.
Shops
- Merchants sit in their shop for a few hours at a time, and crafters and spoilers even longer, instead of hunting.
- Dwarf spoilers keep their valuable spoils and sell them in towns where they are wanted.

NPCs
- Bots stood behind NPCs and tried to talk to them through walls. Now they walk up to the front, each to its own spot, and wait their turn when it is busy.
- Bots now use the floor gatekeepers in the Ivory Tower to get between its floors.
Chat
- Many bots used to answer the same line about a shop item at once. Now one bot answers.
- Make an offer for an item in a bot's shop: if it is fair, the bot changes the price for you, if not, it makes one counter offer.
- Ask a bot where to buy something and it names the shop and where it is in town, like "west of the gatekeeper".
- Bots answer what you actually said, and do not talk about real life.
Materials market
- Bot shops in the starting villages now sell crafting materials too.
- Some bots buy up cheap materials and sell them later when the price is better, others never do. Material prices follow how much is for sale and how much crafters use.
Shopping and supplies
- Every bot now carries the same small emergency stock of potions and a Scroll of Escape. Before, it depended on the bot: careful ones carried a lot, some bold ones none at all.
- Bots walk back to town instead of teleporting all the time. Scrolls of Escape are expensive, so they now only use one when they are far from any town or in real trouble.
- More bot shops in the starting villages with cheap starter gear, shots, arrows, potions and spellbooks. Better gear is sold in the bigger towns, where the higher levels hunt.
- Bots save crafting materials for the dwarves instead of selling everything to the NPC.
- Bots with good gear and adena to spare now use soulshots and spiritshots, just like players do.
Loot
- Bots pick up their loot right after a kill. Before, they often sat down to rest and left it lying on the ground.
- If you were fighting a monster, its drops are yours. Bots leave them alone.
Smoother play
- Bots sometimes got stuck in one place. That happens a lot less now, and when it does they get free quickly.
Bot Activity
- Curious what the bots are up to? The new Bot Activity page shows their trades, crafts and quests.

Getting around
- Bots used to stand still for a while working out where to go, and crowded into the same spot in town. Now they find their way right away, walk around walls and each take their own spot.
- They also use the free teleporters in Cruma Tower and the Elven Ruins.
Chat
- Bots only tell you what really happened. Before, a bot could say "picked it up" while the item was still on the ground.
- Ask a bot about monsters, places, quests or items and you get a real answer that fits where you are.
- Bots do not take orders from players. They chat like regular players.
Quests
- A bug made bots give up on most of their quests. Fixed: they finish a lot more now, and look for a party when the quest monsters are too tough.
Shops
- Some bot shops could not be opened when you clicked them. They all open now.
- Bots got slow from carrying too much. Now they store things in the warehouse.
Fights
- Bots no longer get stuck hitting a monster from a bad angle, and no longer run away from monsters they can easily beat.
Buffs
- Some bots took adena for buffs they could not cast. That is fixed: only real buff sellers take payment.
20-10-2026
Chat
- Bots greet, thank and congratulate more naturally, and no longer ask "what do you mean" when you were clear.
Quests
- Bots of every race now go questing. Before, orc bots could not start a single quest.
Personalities
- Every bot has its own play style, so they do not all act the same. Some grind, some quest, some trade, some just hang out in town.
- Bots have their own goals, like a new weapon or a trip to a new town, and celebrate in chat when they get there.
Knowing the game
- Like real players, some bots know the game inside out and some are still learning. They share tips with each other, and with you.
- Not every bot is a pro: some pull too many monsters or forget to rest. They get better as they level.
Friends and groups
- Bots remember who they partied with and team up with their friends again.
- Higher level bots take newer ones under their wing and help them out.
- Buffers look after their party and friends, and loyal crafting customers get a discount.
Pets
- Bots can now get a pet wolf from level 15, and bot wizards summon a cat from level 20.
Market
- Bots now learn skills from spellbooks, so bot mages finally have more than one attack spell.
- Bots run shops and trade with each other. When a bot shouts WTB or WTS, it means it: you can really trade with it.
- Some bots with buffs sell them: pay first, then you get buffed.
Hunting
- Low level bots used to wander into spots far too strong for their gear. Now they pick spots that fit their gear, and party up for tougher ones.
PK
- Too many bots were turning red and fighting each other. Far fewer turn red now, and bots no longer help PKs.
Towns
- Towns feel calmer: one group chats at a time, and bots no longer stand on top of each other.
Crafting
- Dwarf bots craft, and will craft for you if you bring the materials and a fee.
19-10-2026
Bots
- Many more bots are out in the world, so it feels a lot busier.
PK
- When a PK kills a bot, it shouts where it happened, and nearby bots come looking for the PK.
- Bots fight back when attacked. Brave ones stand their ground, careful ones run.
18-10-2026
Chat
- Bots chat in whispers and normal chat, remember who they talked to, and each has its own personality and way of typing.
Parties
- Invite a bot to your party: unless it has something against you, it joins, follows you and helps with heals and buffs.
15-10-2026
Bots
- The first bots arrive: they hunt, shop, sell their loot and learn new skills.
